So we are still increasing in visitors and google are sending a steady steam now of at least 10 visitors per day. The bounce rate has decreased nicely and we are getting around 2 pages per visit.
We also made 1 cent from associated content and this has inspired me to write more articles for them how the next 2 both failed the review.
I have not had time to update my squidoo lenses lately so we need to get that done this week.
We have 5 articles published on ezine and this brought nearly 400 views so thats worth waiting for i guess.
Adsense is going ok ish, the value of the clicks has gone down but the click rate has gone up. We are nowhere near giving up the day job thats for sure!!
We are steadily getting around 10 visitors per day to the mortgage blog, mostly all delivered from google. We have decreased the bounce rate and increased pages per visit so each visitor is viewing 1.80 pages per visit.
This has increased our number of impressions from adsense although our clicks seem to have dried up. We only had a few clicks anyway but we we got 1 click for 3 days in a row we thought we were onto a winner. Since then nothing for 4 days including increased traffic :(
Squidoo is still pulling in the punters and they are being delivered from google too.

Success we are getting a little traffic over the last few days from both google and ask. Also we have had some click throughs on adsense so a little bit of money :)
Interestingly the ezine articles are still rising and we have 3 more waiting for approval. The associated content line seems to be a little dead at the moment but we may pick this up a little later.
Squidoo seemed like a great idea..... No traffic though, I will still keep refreshing these daily and play the long game here.
Also I have a great method for posting loads of content, get a blackberry and at every spare opportunity send a post to the blog. Then log on to the dashboard, check for errors and add tags to the post. Then shedule these posts to go every day at random times. Then if you fancy a day off you can safe in the knowledge that the posts will keep coming.
I am a firm believer that content is the king!! When you are working with adsense the more pages you have the more chance of someone landing on them is. I think I really need to work on interlinking my posts as I am finding the blogger platform difficult for my users to navigate. Google analytics are showing a large bounce rate. Not because the articles are unhelpful but because once they have read it they are not enticed to read anymore. I used to work in a supermarket and I was told that if the effort needed to keep a customer is valued at 1, then it would take 10 times the amount to win a new customer and 20 times the ammount to win an unhappy customer back.
I plan to use this in blogging, keep the visitor on the site. Why work hard to get them here and then let them go so easily. The more pages they see the more adverts they see. You see?
I have also been adding a few comments to so blogs with my link and I have tried to leave some comments of ezine articles so we can see if these show up on yahoo site explorer soon. I also contacted my first webmaster to ask about guest blogging so lets see how that pans out.
So in conclusion its fair to say that we are off the ground but rising very very slowly and we have put in a lot of work upfront. We hope to see the benefits of this work over the next 2 months. I am toying with the idea to set a time limit on this experiment as it takes far to long to make any money. Perhaps ebooks are the way to go.....
Na, stick with the method that is working (albeit, not magnificently). Expand it and tweak it!! Who knows the last month might have been the start of a beautiful friendship :)

Goolge seems to hate affiliate marketers and there in is the problem!! This ebook has shown me the error of my ways. You cannot make a living from Adsense as this blog has more than enough detailed information on!! However I used this product for a week or so and whilst the results are nowhere near $37,000 per month we are making a tidy $2,000.

Perhaps it has more to do with writting style than just a nice backlink. Lets try a new style. More "salesy"
After seeing minimal success going into a very competative market I have decide to branch out try a few different things as well as expanding the comfort zone that is financial services. The new sites are all on the same ghead domain with different sub domains and blogger accounts for each.

All have analytics on, none are running adsense and none have any traffic!! These are just side project to the main projects that will still be running at full steam. Dont expect to many posts to these we are going for Quality over quantity this time.
